We mapped every corridor. Tested every shortcut. Died to that first ambush so you don’t have to.

Lerakuty Cavern: Where the Rock Lies

I stood at Erdtree-Gazing Hill and laughed. Because the Lerakuty Cave entrance isn’t hidden. It’s lying to you.

Start there. Walk southeast until you see three cracked tombstones leaning like drunk cousins. Keep going.

You’ll hit a sheer cliff face with moss, lichen, and one suspiciously smooth patch of gray rock. Too smooth, too uniform.

That’s it. That’s the lie.

Smash it. With any weapon. No fancy timing.

Just swing. You’ll hear the crack (not) stone, but illusion snapping.

A Sanguine Noble will immediately spawn nearby. If you don’t see one? You’re in the wrong spot.

(They don’t patrol. They guard. Their presence is the confirmation.)

The entrance opens into a narrow tunnel smelling of wet earth and old blood. Go down. Don’t look back.

I’ve seen people spend 45 minutes circling that cliff. They check maps. They read forums.

They whisper about “secret jumps.” Nope. It’s just one wall. One swing.

The Lerakuty cave has no puzzles after that. Just stairs. And silence.

Bring torches. The first turn is dark. And steep.

Don’t trust the rock. Ever.

Lerakuty Cave: A No-Bullshit Walkthrough

I start at the Lerakuty Cavern Site of Grace. No warm-up. No cutscene.

Just cold stone and that low hum in your ears.

First thing you see? Three Land Squirts wobbling near the tunnel mouth. They’re slow.

They spit acid. You can roll through their attacks like they’re not even there. (Just don’t stand still.)

The path slopes down into the main chamber. Blood pools cover half the floor. Deep red, sticky-looking, and not just for show.

Step in one and you’ll take damage every second. Not much. Enough to ruin your rhythm.

Sanguine Nobles patrol the far side. Tall. Red robes.

Carrying those weird curved swords. They stagger easy (hit) them twice fast with a heavy weapon or shield bash, then go for the follow-up.

Golden Rune [9] is on a corpse behind the leftmost blood pool. You have to jump onto a cracked ledge, then drop down. Don’t try to sprint across.

One misstep and you’re swimming in pain.

Crafting materials? You’ll grab two Sacred Tears off the first two Nobles. Also a pair of Blood Grease vials near the waterfall alcove (more on that soon).

That’s enough to get you through the next boss if you’re careful.

Now head down the narrow ramp on the right. The one with the broken railing. Two Nobles wait at the bottom.

One hides behind the pillar. You will get ambushed here the first time. I did.

So did everyone else.

At the bottom, the cavern opens up. Big space. Dripping walls.

That roar gets louder. Then you see it (the) waterfall crashing down the far wall, mist hanging in the air.

That’s your landmark. The fog gate is right behind the cascade. No hidden doors.

No secret lever. Just walk through the spray.

And yes (the) floor near the waterfall is slick. You will slip if you sprint. Slow down.

Breathe. Then go.

This isn’t some puzzle dungeon. It’s a test of timing, spacing, and not getting greedy. If you die at the fog gate, it’s almost always because you rushed the last stretch.

Important Loot: What’s Actually Worth Your Time

Lerakuty Cave

I ran through Lerakuty Cave three times before I stopped missing the Serpent-God’s Curved Sword.

It’s behind the cracked wall in the second chamber (the) one with the collapsed ceiling and the faint hissing sound. You have to hit the left pillar twice with a heavy weapon. (Yes, it’s annoying.

Yes, it’s worth it.)

Serpent-God’s Curved Sword restores HP every time you kill an enemy. Not just bosses. Regular enemies count.

That means less healing flasks used while mapping. Less backtracking. More breathing room.

Golden Rune [9] is tucked under the altar at the far end. The one with the broken chalice. It’s not flashy, but it’s the only rune that boosts stamina recovery while moving.

Try sprinting uphill with it equipped. You’ll feel the difference.

Miquella’s Lily grows beside the stagnant pool where the water glows faintly blue. Pick it. You’ll need it for the Sacred Tear upgrade path.

And no, you can’t farm it elsewhere.

There’s also Blackroot Dust near the exit tunnel. Just scatter it on your boots before the final climb. It silences footsteps for 90 seconds.

Not magic. Just smart.

How Can a Lerakuty Cave Be Challenged? I wrote about that exact question. Because most people rush in blind and die to the same trap twice.

Don’t be that person.

Grab the sword first. Then the rune. Then the lily.

You’ll thank me when you’re not reloading from the bonfire (again.)

Leave the dust for last.

Skip the glittery junk on the shelves. It’s all filler.

How to Beat the Sanguine Noble (Yes, It’s Possible)

The Sanguine Noble isn’t hard. It’s annoying. It fights like a noble who skipped etiquette class and went straight to blood magic.

Backwards gets you hit on the third stab. Bloodflame projectiles? They arc high.

Its rapid thrusting combo? Dodge sideways. Not back.

Duck or roll under them. Not away. The grab?

It telegraphs. You’ll see its arm coil. That’s your cue to sprint past it (not) away.

Stay aggressive. I mean it. Let it breathe and it resets.

Hit it mid-swing. Interrupt early. Use a shield with high physical damage negation.

Not magic. Not lightning. Physical.

It staggers easy. One solid hit during its wind-up? It stumbles.

Two? It drops. Three?

You’re already looting.

You beat it. You get a Golden Rune. And you finally open that chest in the boss room.

Don’t camp. Don’t wait for perfect openings. Move in.

Pressure it. Win.

That chest isn’t going anywhere.

But the Noble will keep hitting you if you hesitate.
